Dr. Izzy Andrews is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist. His special focus on pediatrics is rare in the field of dermatology.

Following graduation from the Ben-Gurion University: Medical School for International Health and Columbia University, Dr. Andrews completed his dermatology residency at the Boston University School of Medicine at the Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI. He was Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology during his senior year. Despite winning awards for his performance in dermatopathology, his passion to help children led to the completion of a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado as part of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The focus of his Fellowship was pediatric procedural dermatology, pediatric psoriasis, vascular malformations, birthmarks, and rare genetic disorders.

In pursuit of expanding the sub-specialty of pediatric dermatology, Dr. Andrews initiated North and Central Florida’s first division focused on pediatric cutaneous disease at the University of Florida, where he also co-established the state’s first vascular anomalies clinic. He moved across country to Phoenix to serve as Associate Program Director at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) Department of Dermatology. He was awarded the rank of Assistant Professor by the University of Arizona, Creighton University, and Mayo Schools of Medicine where his leadership, teaching, and research played a significant role in educating the next generation of dermatologist and pediatricians. His passion for medical education, procedural dermatology and clinical research carried over from training, and he co-championed pediatric procedural dermatology at PCH performing over 800 procedures including laser and excisional surgeries. As is evident by his list of scientific publications, he was heavily involved in research on pediatric psoriasis, vascular malformations and overgrowth syndromes, birthmarks, and pediatric inflammatory dermatoses including acne and atopic dermatitis.

His personal interests include spending time with his two kids, resistance training, traveling, writing, bird watching, photography, comic books and modern design.
