Board-certified dermatologist Dr. John Strasswimmer joins the Pinnacle Dermatology team with more than 15 years of experience in Mohs Surgery, melanoma management, and reconstructive surgery. He received his medical degree and Ph.D. from Tufts Medical School. He completed his residency in dermatology at Yale New Haven Hospital at Yale University and his internship at Cambridge Hospital /Harvard Medical School. Dr. Strasswimmer received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Tufts University. He has written and presented on various skin condition topics for professional dermatologic medical publications.
Dr. Strasswimmer believes that skin cancer education is the first step in prevention. He brings with him an expertise in skin cancer removal and accessibility to skin care services for everyone. Dr. Strasswimmer was the Founding Medical Director of the Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology Multimodality Clinic of the Lynn Cancer Institute, Boca Raton Regional Hospital (Baptist Health South Florida).
