Maxim Polansky, MD, is a fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He is also double board certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

Dr. Polansky received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed an intensive intern year at Yale New Haven Hospital and was a dermatology resident at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, where he also served as chief resident in his final year. After graduating from residency, Dr. Polansky completed his Mohs micrographic and reconstruction surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Hospital in New York City, one of the most prestigious Mohs fellowships in the country. By working alongside national and world leaders in cancer management, he has learned how to best tailor medical and surgical approaches for even the most complex skin cancer cases.

Dr. Polansky has worked as a Mohs surgeon at the Marshfield Clinic, an academic center where he took care of many patients afflicted with skin cancer and taught the next generation of dermatology residents. He was also the Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, where he restarted the Mohs surgery program as well as continued to teach dermatology residents.

Dr. Polansky has published on numerous topics in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery and has lectured at national dermatology meetings. His fellowship training, research, and extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery allow him to provide a tailored approach for each patient.
