Pinnacle Dermatology Appoints Dr. Shauna Birdsall as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Compliance Officer

Pinnacle Dermatology, the rapidly growing dermatology practice headquartered in Chicago, is pleased to announce that Shauna Birdsall, ND, FABNO is joining its Executive Leadership team as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Compliance Officer.  In this new role for Pinnacle Dermatology, Dr. Birdsall will have responsibility for Clinic Operations, Lab and Pathology, M&A Integration, Process Standardization, and Training.

Dr. Birdsall most recently served as Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management for Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) working with the Executive Leadership Team at CTCA to coordinate risk planning and implementation across CTCA.

Dr. Birdsall earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis. She later earned a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Birdsall completed a two-year residency training program in naturopathic medicine and oncology at CTCA. She continued at CTCA as a Naturopathic Physician at Midwestern Regional Medical Center.  In 2008, Dr. Birdsall transferred to Western Regional Medical Center in greater Phoenix as the Medical Director of Integrative Oncology and Naturopathic Medicine and later became the Vice Chief of Staff where she was responsible for coordinating clinical efficiency and workflow for the Physician, NP, and PA staff and outpatient clinics. In addition, she was responsible for ensuring seamless care integration across multiple services lines, including medical, radiation and surgical oncology, radiology, pathology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and urology.  Dr. Birdsall was integral in transforming Western Regional Medical Center from a startup hospital/clinic to the leading oncology center in the Southwest United States.  She is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology.
