Dr. Flynn’s favorite part of her practice is the time she spends with her patients.

Dr. Flynn has been practicing dermatology since 2001 in the Phoenix area. She worked as an attending physician at Banner Medical Group for many years, where she served on the Physician Quality Review Committee.

Dr. Flynn’s career began when she graduated with an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her medical degree with honors from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

Dr. Flynn went on to complete her residency program at the University of New Mexico. During her time at the University of New Mexico, she was a co-investigator for pharmacologic clinical trials. Dr. Flynn was also involved in the care of several patients with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a rare condition. She co-authored a paper of case studies on the use of high dose of intravenous immunoglobulin to treat these patients. Dr. Flynn presented Dermatology case studies as a resident, locally and nationally.

Dr. Flynn is an Arizona native. She decided to go into dermatology in medical school because her father had been treated for several skin cancers and precancerous lesions. Dr. Flynn has done presentations on the subjects of sunscreen, skin cancer, and vitamin D. Because of the high incidence of skin cancer in Arizona, she has been passionate about educating the public on sunscreen use, and skin cancer prevention. Her efforts have included television, media, radio, speaking engagements, newspaper, and magazine articles.

Dr. Flynn wants her patients to feel comfortable, listened to, cared for, and informed. Dr. Flynn has expertise in all aspects of general dermatology, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Flynn enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, hot yoga, running, and spending time with her family, which includes one pug and two Himalayan cats.
