DECATUR, ILLINOIS — Lee Institute of Skin and Laser has become part of Pinnacle Dermatology, providing the same great care with the dermatology providers of Pinnacle. Dr. Paula Lapinski, Dr. Jose Rios and Lindsey Grady, PA-C are extremely excited to take over the great patient care that Dr. Lee and the team have created for so many years.
Pinnacle Dermatology has been seeking to expand services further into this Illinois region to reach more of their patient base. The Lee Institute of Skin and Laser maintains similar values and standard practices as Pinnacle’s current locations, making the location a great fit for the expanding practice. All Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic services will continue to be offered to patients by Pinnacle’s trained Mohs surgeon and Dermatology providers.
Mohs micrographic surgery, considered the most effective technique for treating many basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, the two most common types of skin cancer is done on site at the new Decatur location. The procedure is done in stages, including lab work, all in one day. The goal is to remove all cancerous cells for the highest cure rate while sparing healthy tissue and leaving the smallest possible scar.
